Compare the2025 Acura ZDXVS 2025 Lotus Eletre

For enhanced safety, the front and rear seat shoulder belts of the Acura ZDX have pretensioners to tighten the seatbelts and eliminate dangerous slack in the event of a collision and force limiters to limit the pressure the belts will exert on the passengers. The Lotus Eletre doesn’t offer pretensioners for its rear seat belts.

In a Vehicle-to-Vehicle Frontal Crash Prevention 2.0 test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the Acura ZDX achieved a “Good” rating - the highest possible - for its performance in forward collision warning and automatic braking systems, demonstrating its excellent capabilities in preventing collisions. The Lotus Eletre has not been tested.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The ZDX has standard Reverse Automatic Braking that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The Eletre doesn’t offer automatic braking for stationary objects directly to the rear.

Both the ZDX and the Eletre have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

The ZDX comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck. The Eletre’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 14,000 miles sooner.

The ZDX comes with free roadside assistance for 4 years 50,000 miles. Acura will send help if you run out of gas, need a jump-start, lock your keys in or need any assistance on the road. Lotus doesn’t give free roadside assistance for the Eletre.

There are over 7 times as many Acura dealers as there are Lotus dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the ZDX’s warranty.

The Acura ZDX’s wheels have 6 lugs for longer wheel bearing life, less chance of rotor warping and greater strength. The Lotus Eletre only has 5 wheel lugs per wheel.

The ZDX has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Eletre doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires standard on the ZDX can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The Eletre doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the ZDX’s wheelbase is 2.9 inches longer than on the Eletre (121.8 inches vs. 118.9 inches).

The Acura ZDX may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs up to about 450 pounds less than the Lotus Eletre.

The ZDX is 3.2 inches shorter than the Eletre, making the ZDX easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The ZDX has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the Eletre with its rear seat up (29.7 vs. 24 cubic feet). The ZDX has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the Eletre with its rear seat folded (63 vs. 54 cubic feet).

Standard Trailer Sway Control on the ZDX uses the Vehicle Stability Assist sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Eletre doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the ZDX has a standard rear wiper. The Eletre doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the ZDX has standard extendable sun visors. The Eletre doesn’t offer extendable visors.

The ZDX Type S has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The Eletre doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.

The ZDX is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Eletre doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
